Kazaa Media Desktop) is a peer-to-peer file sharing site where users can exchange MP3 files over the Internet (other than MP3s, video and software can be exchanged in the application).
Downloading is free of charge. The site has, since from the start, been accused of spyware (used for collecting net surfing and purchasing habits of the user) or adware installation onto the Internet user's computer (despite the persistent defense from Kazaa operator Sharman).
Allegations arose when malwares were detected by users. Malwares carried codes that were difficult to delete by removal software.
